Why wallet value can differ from stablecoin cash
In brief
Total value can include native gas and token holdings as well as trading cash.
Separate cash from the rest of wallet value
Open the chain and token rows rather than treating the total as spendable USDC. A bought token changes the mix of assets. Missing prices may make a total partial. Keep gas reserves separate from the amount you intend to spend on the next copy.
Worked example
$80 cash plus $20 in assets is not $100 spendable USDC
A hypothetical account with $80 USDC and $20 of other marked assets may show about $100 total known value. Only $80 is USDC cash, and some other assets may be needed for network gas. A portfolio total is not a promise that its full value can fund the next buy.
