Why a price-protection rule can skip an entry
In brief
Your quote can move beyond the saved protection threshold after the leader's fill.
Compare the current quote with your entry limit
Read the current saved rule and the row's reason before increasing a limit. Price protection is intended to constrain how far your execution can deviate; removing it changes the risk of a bad entry. A displayed chart price is not a quote guaranteed for your size.
Worked example
The source buy happened before the price moved
A leader may buy before a fast move. Your later quote can be materially worse even if monitoring detected the action. Skipping under your guard is different from claiming the source transaction never happened.
