Quick guide / Stop and trailing rules

What to compare when investigating an unexpected exit

Maya World editorial1 min read

In brief

Use the rule, account basis, signal context and actual transaction rather than a single percentage screenshot.

Rebuild the entry and exit sequence

Collect the network, public hash, timestamps, amount sold and proceeds. Check whether the sale followed a leader action or a configured rule and whether multiple entries or earlier partial sales affected the remaining basis. Preserve the evidence before making several settings changes.

Worked example

A partial sale changes what remains to close

A 100% sale of a remainder and an earlier partial take-profit need separate cost comparisons. Adding their percentages without tracking the original quantity can misdescribe both exposure and realized return.

Put the guide into practice.

Review the setup in Maya. Check your mode, wallet and rules before starting.
