Quick guide / Wallet security
What information never belongs in a support chat
In brief
Never share private keys, recovery phrases, authentication codes or other secrets that can authorize wallet actions.
Share public evidence instead of secrets
Send public diagnostic context instead: network, action, approximate time, visible error and transaction hash when one exists. Confirm support through the official website link. A claim that a secret is needed to synchronize balances should be treated as a reason not to disclose it.
Worked example
A transaction hash is different from a private key
A public transaction hash can help locate a transfer without granting spending control. A private key gives fundamentally different access and is not required to explain a displayed error.
