Should you withdraw every last unit of native gas
In brief
Leaving no native gas can prevent a later token transfer or exit, even if stablecoins remain.
Why an empty gas balance can strand spendable tokens
Sending USDC out of a normal wallet usually requires a fee in the chain’s native coin. Selling a token also needs a transaction. Withdrawing every last unit of SOL, ETH or BNB can leave other assets in the wallet without a way to move them until you add gas again.
A displayed wallet value is not the same as an amount you can transfer in one click. It can include tokens, cash and gas, each with its own transaction path.
Plan the order of your exits
Review your open positions before removing the cash and gas used by their rules. If your intention is to stop copying, use the account controls and read how they handle existing positions. A submitted transaction cannot be cancelled just by closing the browser.
If you want to sell tokens and then withdraw the proceeds, keep gas for both steps. A partial sale may leave a remainder whose later disposal also needs gas. Very small leftovers can cost more to move than they are worth.
Automatic top-up is not a substitute for every reserve
A gas top-up swap normally needs gas itself. Maya does not currently provide USDC-paid gas or a general sponsored transaction path, so a zero native balance can prevent the conversion that would replenish it.
Base autopilot uses the configured 0.02-to-0.04 ETH reserve when enabled and supported. Other chains have separate balances and route availability. Do not treat that Base setting as an automatic rescue for a Solana or Robinhood wallet.
Check the withdrawal result before retrying
Review the source network, destination, amount and gas estimate before authorizing. If the signing prompt fails or the page loses its result, check History and any hash before trying again. A second authorization can become a second transfer if the first already succeeded.
Once you are finished moving assets, the appropriate remaining reserve depends on what you still plan to do with that wallet. Keep enough for those actions rather than treating the gas coin as a balance that must always be emptied.
